Is this the future of rap beefs?
Meek Mill decided to kick start 2016 of by dropping a surprise 4 track EP (Mixtape) entitled 4/4. He also thought it would be a great idea to fire shots at 50 Cent on lead single “Gave Em Hope”.
After loosing last years high profile feud with Drake, shouldn’t Meek Mill be staying away from rap beefs? This may put Meek Mill in the history books though as this has to be one of the quickest feuds in hiphop history! 50 Cent hasn’t responded on record yet to Meek Mill diss track. Instead 50 cent showed us the possible future of rap beefs in 2016 by taking to his instagram account to win this battle. After gunning Meek Mill in a week of endless, creative and amusing memes. it appears that this feud is already over, with Meek Mill posting at the end of last week on his Instagram:
“50 Cent I Submit To Your Memes”.
Its fair to say that most people, including Meek Mill own fans were shocked and disappointed that Meek Mill would appear to give up so quickly.This week continues to see both 50 cent and Meek Mill still posting subtle and not so subtle disses to their instagram accounts. Although 50 cent is a business mogul more than a rapper now, I am still hoping that 50 cent will pen a return verse to finish this feud with Meek Mill. Although it appears to be over for now with round one going to 50 cent, I think Meek Mill maybe back for round 2 soon.
