In her interview with HipHopDX she stated “”It’s always a family member or an authority figure, somebody that you trust, typically.” Nitty says, “It was definitely an authority figure. It was somebody that I trusted, and I think when it happens that way, it definitely messes up your idea of trust, and your ability to trust”.

As she handled mental and physical tumult over her abuse, Scott found solace in music  and coped  by listening to albums such as The Marshall Mathers LP released 2000’s by Eminem. She noticed herself releasing much of the anger that she had about her life, as she recited the lyrics to “The Way I Am”.

Scott’s battle with sexual abuse initiated a battle with depression. She was diagnosed with clinical depression in 2009, as the pressures of her past were coming to boiling point.

In order to come to terms with a lot of the unrest she had experienced,  she sought help through therapy. Nitty hopes her album will aid others through their turmoil like Eminem’s and Tupac’s helped her.
