Well Moose Funk Squad is keeping the homegrown scenes innovative endeavours well alive mate. Strap on your seat belts and seat back for this banger of a track titled “Mario Mash Up”.

Moose are a collective of five emcees being Fourny P, Mnsr Frites, Jester Jacobs, Luca Brazi, & Archetype. Moose Funk began as a set of collaborations on the EP ‘Good for Nothing’ by the then Leeds-based producer Organised Mess.

Prior to this, Jester Jacobs, Fourny P and Mnsr. Frites had known each other from earlier Organised Mess collaborations while living in Leeds. Mnsr.Frites is also known from his work alongside Luca Brazi, & Archetype in the live band Granvillle Sessions.

After doing several live shows with Organised Mess as well as performing in a legendary cypher on Rhyme Pad Radio (live on Cambridge’s 105 FM at the tail end of 2010), they collectively decided to form a new supa crew, making tracks together under the name ‘Moose Funk Squad’.

Moose Funk have been playing shows for over 2 years now, performing in various cities and at festivals around the UK. Despite writing and recording tracks together over this period they have yet to put out a full-length release, until now.

This project has all been put together by P739 with the help of his ‘Note Ghosts’ partner Disent, and given the finishing touch by the world famous DJ Sugai, dropping cuts and turning the compilation of tracks into a mixtape.
