You must have guessed by now, that Shante and the video team like doing these artist interviews.
Everyone that we’ve met has been super cool, but maybe that’s because the interview team are mainly 6 footers that have grimacing snarls on their faces (only kidding)!
Nonetheless, we always have a pleasant time where everyone leaves on good terms, tweeting and all that merry stuff during and after the session.
Micall Parknsun’s interview session was no different.
Genuinely a cool guy, we got welcomed into his friends home studio, where we were allowed to take over the place like Agent Smith.
For those of you that may not have heard of Micall Parknsun (get out from underneath that rock), here’s a little bit about him..
About Micall Parknsun
His first touch with hip hop came from the first time he heard “Long Live The Kane“, by Big Daddy Kane, when he was around 11 years old.
He thought WTF! And decided this hip hop thing was something he wanted to get involved with.
Then, when he heard Nas’ “Ill Matic”, he thought “oh shizzle. I’m going to start writing my own lyrics”!
Fast forward, with several releases under his belt, being signed to Jehst’s YNR production/label, Micall Parknsun is a well established UK hip hop artist, who gets the admiration from Pete Rock, Just Blaze and many other well know hip hop producers and artist from the U.S and beyond.
And for good reason too. His album “Me, Myself And Akai“, has received great reviews from across the globe.
Parky, as some of his close friends like to call him, agreed to do this – some what of an exclusive – video interview for the Itch FM community, where he spills the beans on his career, from past to present.
He also lets you know a little about his future plans.
Oh, almost forgot, he also does a little performance in what must be one of the coolest studio booths we’ve seen in a while.
