What Inspires Grandmaster Caz of Cold Crush.

Legendary Grandmaster Caz of the Cold Crush Crew goes back in time to convey his influences which created his love for hip hop and his  position in the hip hop industry then, and now.

He also spills the beans on his new book dropping on Amazon, full of gems in the forms of his various rhymes.

Cold Crush Crew’s original lineup consisted of the founder, The Original DJ Tony Tone, Supreme Easy A.D.,  DJ Charlie Chase, Whipper Whip, Mr. Tee, and Dot-A-Rock.

Their first single was “Weekend” on Elite Records was release in 1982. It was a party and dance record that related to everyday working people, and what Families go through from Monday-Friday.

Their second single released in 1983 “Punk Rock Rap” on  Epic Records licensed  for UK CBS Associated records over seas and in the United State on Tuff City Records, and distributed by CBS Records. This was the first time in Hip Hop History that an independent Hip Hop record label and a major record label like CBS collaborated together.

The Cold Crush Brothers were also featured in 1982 movie “Wild Style”. which depicted Hip Hop Culture.

The Cold Crush Brothers also took 25 MCs, DJs, breakers, and bombers to Tokyo, Japan in 1983, labelled, “The Wild Style Tour”, which was a very big success.

They became known as “the Rolling Stones of hip hop“.
