The Artful Fro’s Simply The Best Hip Hop Artist in Town
The Artful Fro is a London based artist Itch FM has been supporting for a long while.
What initially caught our eye, was her paintings of Hip Hop artist on original vinyl.
OC, Wu-Tang-Klan, Tu Pac, Biggie Smalls, Big Punisher, Lady of Rage, LL Cool J to name a few.
On the flip side, she also has paintings of David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Teddy Pendergrass, Prince and many more.

The intricate details in her paintings are to be admired, you can’t just have one look, or you’ll miss something.
She started drawing from an early age, from the time her Mother bought her, her first pack of crayons.
“Working in acrylic paint is my preference and I thoroughly enjoy portrait painting. I have a fascination with faces”
Artists that have inspired her are Aaron Douglas, Rembrandt, Van Gogh and Jean-Michel Basquiat.

The Fro completed an HND in Graphic Design, but it wasn’t until 2014 that she decided to pursue this beyond a casual hobby.
Her work has been displayed at Carving Coffee, Dark Sugars and the Wu Lab Exhibition in Paris, just to name a few.
