KRS One Say’s He Can’t Make No Dollars In The U.S.A.
In a recent interview with Vlad TV, the legendary KRS One stated he can’t make no money in America due to the lack of respect for Hip Hop in the country.
KRS commented on the political and social fabric of where Hip Hop was created from, and stated his generation never wanted to be apart of America.
He stated ““Our parents were on their hands and knees begging to be a part of America,” “We were never part of that, ever…Blacks and Latinos get it the worst. We get it the worst in America.
He mused over why he had to constantly travel all the way to Europe to a country like Switzerland to make money from the trade he lives and breathes.
He conveyed that the political establishment in Switzerland respected Hip Hop more than the political leaders in the United States of America.
KRS also illustrated that Hip Hop was not a impromptu phenomenon as MTV Network would like people to believe.
He stated
Real Hip Hop history is Afrika Bambaataa sitting everybody down and saying ‘Listen, all this black, white, red, yellow is stupid. We’re all human beings. Let’s come together on that.
Moreover KRS illustrated that Afrika Bambaataa use to hold regular meetings calling on people to come under this banner he named Hip Hop, teaching the principles of peace, unity, love, and having fun.
